Specialists in luxury interiors for both residential and business, Richard Grafton Interiors is Yorkshire’s leading interior design company. With a team of highly experienced designers, special planners and artisans, its services extend from refreshing a single room to renovations of entire properties. Bespoke solutions include custom-made kitchens, bathrooms and cabinetry, all hand-made in North Yorkshire.

Harrogate’s renowned Montpellier Quarter is home to the company’s flagship showroom, set over three floors and encompassing an impressive 1,000 square feet. After a £250,000 transformation, the showroom was re-opened in July 2024, featuring an updated new look that places a luxurious new kitchen room set (plus pantry and larder) at its heart. Also on show are a formal sitting room, a ‘snug’, a bedroom and a dressing room, each of which demonstrates the company’s unique blend of hand-crafted cabinetry, designer furniture and complementary accessories.
We are delighted that the Richard Grafton team selected us to supply hardware for their new-look showroom. We first met them at Chelsea Harbour Design Centre and discussed working together. As Charlotte Grafton says: ‘We felt our visions aligned well, and it was an added benefit that Henry Blake Hardware is a British brand.’

The designers chose Bauhaus pull and bar door handles and Wright round cabinet knobs, all in a medium bronze lacquered finish, from our own brand Henry Blake Hardware. We also finished shelf brackets to match. Charlotte adds: ‘We selected handles that best complemented the design of our kitchen, placing a strong emphasis on finishes and overall harmony. The finish works beautifully with the stained woodgrain on the island, as well as the colour palette used for the pantry, larder and main kitchen run. The finish also ties in seamlessly with other key fittings in the space, helping to create a cohesive and well-considered look throughout the showroom display.’
The final look is a great success. ‘As with all our projects, we are very detail oriented,’ says Charlotte. ‘We often say that the handles and hardware are the “jewellery” of the design – tying everything together. We wanted to showcase our capabilities in bespoke cabinetry, but also partner with brands who are like-minded and elevate our designs. We feel the selection from Henry Blake Hardware has done just this.’
